Free VIDEO editor?

I use Audacity for sound editing, and am looking for something thats simillar but for video.

Things like cutting sections out of the middle, cross fading 2 vids, and stripping the audio/putting my own in, are the stuff I'm looking to do.

For free.

I found one called Jahshaka, but I find it kindof confusing. I need something to edit .MOV files. Stupid Win movie maker doesn't support that file type.

Oh and videohelp was more confusing than brain surgery. I found some info, but they really need to ORGANIZE.

OK. I managed to find a nice freeware mov->avi converter, and it looks like WinMovieMaker can do what I want. Its not exactly the BEST tool for the job, but I can fudge it good enough for the crap I'll be spewing
