I'm a bit suspicious of the motivations behind these 'click for charity,' but I would be a bit more in favor if they were giving something useful like plumpynut. White rice is good for calories, but not much else. Plumpynut is probably much more expensive (can't get cheaper than rice), but it has protein, fat, sugar, vitamins and minerals, so it can reverse most cases of malnutrition.
