Fret Dressing

This may be nit picking but some of the frets on the bottom of the neck are bothering me. Height wise they are uniform and fine. Can I smooth tthe edges out with something that will not allow me to get into the wood? But just smooth up the corner edges of the metal enough to not be as noticable when I am playing. Its very distracting. Thanks.

You can either file the frets individually (and very carefully), or file the ends as a group
with the file held longwise to the neck. It's almost impossible not to touch the fretboard
in the process. That's where the care comes in. You stop when you just begin to touch
the fretboard. Then you polish out any small marks you may have made.

Use a fine cut, good quality file. And pay close attention to maintaining the angle at the
end of the frets. The original angle is likely what you want.

edited to add:

After filing, smooth off the ends with silicon carbide paper, about 320 - 400 grit.
Then polish the fret ends along with the fretboard edge.
