Guys,
I need to pick up a fretless bass with a volume pedal. I know nothing about fretless basses except they sound cool. One time I tried to play a Carvin that had markers and it drove nuts cuz I'm not used to fretting directly on the fret instead of normal playing between frets.
Also, I kind of like being a 4 string player, I'm not sure what the extra 5 or 6 strings would afford me, other than possibly bugging me. I want to spend probably less than a grand.
I currently play a Fender Bullet(like a precision) and a MusicMan the one with the bass, treble, and mid knob through a Carvin stack.
Any recommendations?
