Thanks, no other projects yet. before this i've build a Wal copy, this one: Wal copy. The complete build diary is in basschat.
I've planned to build a copy of Claypools Pachiderm bass, gonna build it for my son. That will be quite a challenge!

That is beautiful. The wood shades look perfect together - my brief encounter with planing wenge resulted in a pivot to walnut. Glad you stuck with it. I've snagged your description of doing the cavity cover and will use it in my #2 build for sure.

I just had the headpiece painted black by ETS. It’s a plane brass block which you shape yourself matching the radius of the neck. It looks nice in brass but I like it better in black to match the rest of the hardware.
