Fretless neck with block inlays: yay or nay?

I dig it. 70's Fender look with a fretless sound and feel. Sounds cool in my book.
Lined fingerboards look exactly the same as fretted fingerboards anyway (from any kind of distance) so I doubt there's much in it.

That's what I was thinking. If it's not lined, definitely not.
I'm a big fan of nothing on the board at all. With the block inlays, it just looks like it should have frets.. If you dig it then cool..That is what counts
Nope, or maybe just one at the 12 fret position, but my preference is for always unlined. I would be worried about feel differences over the inlays, I guess that would be moot if it's got that common epoxy coating.
I do think that 3234718's bass looks kind of cool and for the price would probably be worth trying out just for the heck of it.

Had an old Jazz with frets removed and there was a very noticeable difference in the sound when playing on the blocks vs. the rosewood. Raspier. Not a good thing, nay I say!
Nope. No net is more impressive- I don't even like dots on a schmoovie. I suggest you add a poll.
