They sound balanced and true - they are as uncolored a pickup as any I have ever heard - and they have huge output. If your bass sounds good these things will bring that out - if it doesn't it will bring that out too.

The Q can be adjusted directly in the pickup (via the set screws, though not radically) and the radius of your strings can be adjusted to. Well worth the investment IMO.
