I am the original owner of this KZ5. The pickups have been replaced with Norstrand Big Splits, and there is a Bartolini NTMD 3 band preamp installed. the controls are:

Volume (with Active/Passive push-pull)
Blend
Treble
Mid
Bass
Mid Frequency Selector Switch

This bass plays great, and is in like new condition. I had it with me at the NYC GTG so some of you may have played it. I really like it, but just find I want something different.

I am looking $800 shipped in a gig bag the CONUS. Sorry not shipping international.

As far as trades the only things I am really looking for are:

4 or 5 string fretless.
34" 5 string with a maple fingerboard.

Thanks, to answer a few questions that I've been PM'd about:

Q: What's the weight?

A: ~9lbs on the bathroom scale.

Q: Is there any fret buzz?

A: The action is very low, and I tolerate some buzz up on the higher frets so I can have very low action. That said, raising the action slightly of course resolves that. The frets and neck are in like new condition.

Q: Are there any dead spots?

A: I have not found any, but I am with the camp that believes if you look long and hard enough every bass has a dead spot.
