I should know by now if I sold it once, I'll sell it twice. Just can't get into stained/painted finishes on a boutique bass. I'd also prefer something with wider spacing if possible.
I have a Zon Sonus 5 (17mm spacing & 34" scale) for sale. This is my 14th Zon bass, and I always come back to them. Bass has a beautiful flamed maple top, nice weight & balance, ash body, Bartolini electronics with 3-way mid switch, and Zon gig bag included. Bass is in excellent condition minus one pretty good sized ding on the bottom; out of sight out of mind, but it's there. This bass spec'd out today would cost over $4,300, and would take anywhere from 6-12 months to be built. You can save all the time and half the money buying here. You can buy more expensive basses, but you won't find any markedly better than a Zon. Joe really takes pride in his work, and it shows in every instrument. The build quality and attention to detail is second to none in my book. The tone in this bass is HUGE. Beautiful setup. Very versatile preamp, VERY organic tone, especially for a composite neck. Fantastic fingerstyle and slap tone. Incredibly stable neck. Perfect amount of relief. If you have struggled with changing climates, or need a super stable bass for the road, this bass is for you!
