BACK ON THE BLOCK!

I, in another fit of insanity, have three prized instruments for sale. This one took me the longest to put (back) up.

I believe these basses are very limited--to around 50. Perhaps someone can verify this.

I changed the tuning machines to a longer stem reverse style. Absolute upgrade to me, the others had patina/wear and one was bent. The bridge does have some light relic look to it, nothing terrible. The body isn't sporting any big dings, but it's not immaculate. I believe the original owner gigged it out a bit.

The bass is set up to V/B/T. Exceedingly efficient! I do not have the original V knob that goes with it. An audere preamp is pictured in these photos. Original Lakland knobs are on the bass now.

I had Mike Quick make me a cream pearliod pg to replace the faux anodized gold that came with the bass (included in sale). Which also appears to have been relic'd. The bass looks great naked, with the cream OR gold.

Look at the last picture, you can see that the previous owner changed the strap pins. It's not the original pins, but they actually are much more strap-friendly than the Lakland stock (Which I do not have).

White Lakland HSC included, also looks like it's been taken to gigs. Not in terrible condition.

If you're looking for more detailed pics on something, please specify what. Asking $2250 shipped, paypal is okay.

No trades except possibly a USA lakland DJ or something painfully cool... Thank you!

The strap pins look like original Dunlops. You don't need my extra kidney do you?

They totally do. I like the look of the stock ones, but I much prefer the way these work. Easier to slide the strap on and off, but I've not once had an issue with the strap popping off.

Oh yeah, and the kidney?

I'll give you $20 toward the bass for the kidney

I vote anodized! What a cool take on the ol' P Bass w/ 2 tone burst and maple neck.

I played what I guess was the working prototype for this model before it came out at Lakland and it was almost a religious experience. Here's bump you won't even need;)

Wow, it's almost like if a Lakland and a Thunderbird had a baby.

But better

Just did the digital scale trick--step on and off, then repeat with bass. Seems to weigh 9.6lbs. FEELS pretty light, so I was surprised to see that, but maybe this means all those pushups are paying off :ninja:

In an older version of the Lakland website, before they began discontinuing some of the models and the Skylines were still MIK, I used to love checking out the sound samples.

I listened to every bass on the site and I have to say that the one bass that got my attention more than any other was the Decade Darkstar. Even more than the HoBo or the Scheff. The DD just seemed to have an extra dimension to it, soundwise. The thickness and the depth is unmatched. I loved all the basses, but the DD made my eyes widen in wonder as I stared at the Windows Media Player screen.

I'll probably get cold feet and bite the bullet of debt if this sticks around a few more days ;)

relatively...I may be moving along a different bass of mine, which will cool them down a lot more. I've had a few light nibbles on the bass, but nothing serious. Then again, NOTHING is selling fast these days!

Unless I see something that catches my fancy. Sheesh, I've got a problem ;)
