So I bought this bass on here a couple months back and really enjoy it. Unfortunately I'm getting out of the bass gig altogether as I just don't have the time or inclination to even plug in anymore; my schedule will never allow me to do anything other than play in my living room which isn't any fun so this bass is up for sale only. I'm not interested in anything in trade. This bass is a Musicman Sterling with one of the most incredible birdseye necks I've ever seen and a wonderful grain pattern on the body. When I got it the frets were worn and grooved a bitso I leveled, crowned, and polished the frets. Right now it's strung with TI Jazz rounds and it plays really really well. The action is low with no buzz and no perceivable dead spots. It is equipped with mutes (not offered anymore) which are in perfect shape and the neck is one of the most comfortable I've played with a nice satin finish. The bass is in excellent+ condition, especially for its age. There are no real scratches to speak of and no dings that I can see. The electronics work perfectly, there are zero issues with this bass. The price is 900.00 plus shipping. You aren't going to find another one like this folks! Here are some pics, feel free to contact me with any questions and/or shipping quotes. thanks! Dan
It's definitely the best neck on any MM bass I've seen and it's right up there with the best necks I've ever played. I'd put it on par with a US Lakland any day of the week. I forgot to mention that this comes with the OHSC as well.
About 8.5 lbs, very light and very comfortable. Mr. Matt I believe. Here is the original thread. Thanks! Dan
Damn if I had the cash I would go and take it off your hands..after paying for it of course no shipping would be required.
