I will most likely regret listing this one, but it is just not getting the love it deserves.

This is the 35" scale Spector Coda 5LX. Has a beautiful figured maple top and a birdseye maple fretboard with abalone inlays. Features an active/passive (push/ pull) system with a 9v Aguilar OBP-2 and the "aggressive" 70's style Spector J pickups (not the stock Aguilar 60s models). The tone is not wildly more aggressive than the stock Coda 5XL - just some more grind when you want it. :)

I've had this bass for about a year and haven't gigged it at all. It has probably seen about 50 hours of use total at home. No blemishes to speak of - always kept in its case.

The weight is a little under 11 lbs. It's not light but it's not oppressively heavy either.

Comes with a Spector branded black hardshell case which is in excellent condition.

Selling for $2350 shipped CONUS - FIRM. US buyers only. No trades - trade offers will be politely ignored.

    PM with any questions.

The Spector site is listing 0.708" and this is the standard bridge they use, so the spacing should be a little wider than their NS-5XL bridge spacing.

Yeah but he offers 19mm spacing too.

I think they may only offer that spacing on the NS style bolt ons. There's only one Coda 5 next size to my knowledge.

Here's a short demo by my friend.
I played on that 4string and it's cool

I would say the Coda sounds fairly subdued in that video - not sure what strings are being used. As mentioned mine doesn't have the stock pickups and it a little more aggressive, but can still be dialed back for mellow stuff too.

I played this bass at NAMM this year, and it's undoubtedly killer...the 70's Spector pickups might be my new favorite passive jazz set, really dynamic and clear with tons of grind on tap if you want it, and they also play very well with effects.

If the finish on this one was black gloss I'd surely be having a very uncomfortable conversation with my wife....GLWTS! :bassist:

Thanks! Actually this one isn't from NAMM - I got it last summer direct from Spector. I think the one they had at NAMM was a pau ferro board but basically identical aside from the hotter pickups in this one.
