Highly sought after Wal Bass.
1982 Wal MKI Australian Lacewood Facings
After emails to Pete and having Paul H. look up some history (he has "The Book") on this bass, it is the ONLY Lacewood facings known to exist at this time. OHSC included. It has a fresh set-up and Ernie Ball Hybrid Strings.

This bass was also "signed off" by Ian Waller which is also rare to see basses out there for sale that he personally worked on! Going to regret selling this bass. If it was a paduk or walnut it would be gone already because it would be easier for me to let it go because i could always buy another down the road. THIS MKI YOU WILL NOT SEE ANOTHER ONE

NO issues with this bass it plays amazing and has a way better neck than my MKII (which i am NOT selling) Anyone with any questions or want more pics of specific parts of the bass please PM me. Black Poly painted versions of this MKI (not over rare facings) have gone for $6,400USD on evilBay

Will ship worldwide but International buyer (not USA) pays ALL shipping, insurance and any taxes or duty that may occur.

N.America sales will be FREE shipping with buyer paying for Insurance and any taxes and or duty fees that would be present.

Item will be shipped once payment have been verified and cleared.
$5,600USD o.b.o
Sorry NO Trades

the Acacia sold yesterday. tonight i'm going to check out something locally. it is between your Wal, this local bass, and another bass that may become available next week. if your Wal sells first, then it wasn't meant to be, but I've still got my eye on it.

Not that I could EVER afford one of these, but I was wondering if Wal's are easy to play. In other words, My CIRRUS feels like it's a part of my DNA, whereas a Fender feels like the most overrated, uncomfortable, high priced bass.

Thanks. (sorry Fender peeps, no offense)

Yes VERY easy to play. The neck is like butter to play on this bass. I like it way better than my MKII but i would never dare switch them....:hiding:

I think I could get a sound close to that outta my Cirrus

Hi Lanis ! I'm always running into you here where the BEST basses reside. If I only had $7,000 ! I could buy this Wal and your (my old) Cirrus. I am in the "bass I wish I never sold" club. Have I strayed off the topic ?

This Wal is AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

This is a free bump, too, for an AWESOME bass that I wish I had :crying: ! Yummy !!!!!!!!

One of my all time favorite basses.
Great top.
Is neck rosewood?
If it was fretless, I might bite?
Very nice.
