Double Bass Full Circle on the Fritz - need some suggestions

I'm positive my Fishman Full Circle is on the fritz. When I play amplified, I get this series pop/crackle static thing that sound like the speaker or tweeter is going to blow. So I isolated cables, the preamp, as well as tried other basses. I even went no preamp into to different amps and got the same result, though less present with the gain of a preamp.

So, I'm not to heartbroken since the pickup came with the bass and I hate that the sound changes if I play with my bridge height at all.

So any recommendations on the wedge mounting PUP's? I'm looking at the rev solo and K & K bass max.

Any and all opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

BTW - Shen SB80 with Innovation Silvers. I play a lot of roots, swing, rockabilly, and old school jazz stuff. Going for more of that gut sound with the synthetics. I don't bow.

sorry I can't recommend a pickup for you. I'm kind of swimming in that pool of despair right now too, BUT check the wire and/or RCA jack on your full circle. Mine's shorted on me twice. The last time, I bought an RCA plug the didn't require soldier at Radio Shack and replaced it. I had similar sounded crackling, thought it was my amp, then replaced cables, etc. It was the wire coming out of the full circle.

Keep shopping, but maybe that will help your pickup work for you while you're trying to decide.

I my estimation, just to bring you down, with every pickup on the market, we have to accept it's own special brand of suckiness.
