Fun songs for both bass and guitar?

Hi! New to TB! So, my husband plays guitar, and has been playing on and off for about 25 years. I played bass a little in high school but none of my friends played music and it got boring playing alone so I gave it up. Anyway, just picked it back up about a year ago and love it! We like learning songs to play together, but are having a hard time finding songs that are fun for both guitar AND bass. Usually if the bass part is fun/more complex, the guitar is boring and the other way around.
We know most Nirvana songs, those are almost always fun for both, and we’ve learned some others like the few Black Keys songs that have bass on them, some Stooges, stuff like that. But we are running out of ideas for new songs to learn! Any suggestions?

Are you amenable to playing older stuff...like (gulp) The Beatles?

I've always thought that this tune is kind of fun because it works very well for a guitar/bass duo:

sometimes when i get together with 'strummer' friends i'll play the melodies on bass (go back and forth between melody and a bass part) and that makes almost any tune accessible. and for a bass player, it can be a lot of fun playing the melody higher up on the fingerboard!

For awhile I played in a power trio cover band, and we did Billy Joel's "Vienna" and "Only the Good Die Young" with the guitarist on acoustic. I'm not a Billy Joel fan, but those were fun to play and might work with a guitar/bass duo.

I think some Jimi Hendrix would work, and "Third Stone From the Sun" and "Wind Cries Mary" come to mind.

Other thoughts: "Pinball Wizard," probably lots of Bob Marley, "Wild Horses," "Sympathy for the Devil" (more of a jam), "Space Oddity" (I've heard it done as a guitar/bass duo--it works).

There are countless tunes where any ‘lead’ guitar parts are minimal and the drums aren’t that crucial or pronounced.
