What do you guys think:
Eh? funk? in the bass? Nah i say.
I say a Stingray.
Stingray or P-Bass...depends if they're a Jamerson fan or a Flea fan.
Or Jazz bass.
For L. Graham's GCS's fans!!!!!!!
Fender Victor Bailey is my vote
bootsy's star bass
Which I why I have one of each
Funny thing is, I still don't sound like either of those guys . . .
Yep, the two funkiest. Too bad neither come in an identical sounding five.
I'd have to say Jazz bass, because it's a choice lots o' people could agree with. Secretly, I'm torn between a J and a Cirrus 4, which is one delightfully, über-liciously funky instrument.
Jazz bass, without a doubt.
Make sure you get a maple fingerboard!
damn I have to stop promoting my own basses but my Fury's own you all. J/K
Very funky bass though.
conklin groove tools
The Stingray played by Louis Johnson on "Stomp."
Any funkier than that, and you're gonna need oxygen!
THAT'S THE TRUTH!
The other two songs had some nice style in them too.
Without a doubt, the funkiest bass, after all a bass isn't funky by itself!
I think you're the first moe.ron I've seen on here. I haven't listened to them much lately though - last I saw Rob was playing a Modulus Flea bass? I think "jam bassists" are Mostly unheard of (sans Gordon & now Claypool) and he's a damn fine player.
