I have an old PQ3 that I bought brand new in 1983. I haven't used it in years. Maybe I should rack it up and give it a shot again? I remember it being a very tweakable EQ....and I also used it as a preamp a few times.

anyone have one..or any thoughts on this unit?

Dude, I almost droped some serious cash for one a few years back (before the re-issue)... Its one of my favorite preamps, VERY hi-fi...

oh man...now I remember what this thing can do!
what a sweet EQ!!
I'm running it on my high signal..and man-o-man can I tweak to perfection. You are right Tecx, it is hi-fi and I love it.

why did I bury this in my closet for so many years?
I'm a dumbass..
now to upgrade my compressors...if I could only get some input on the Rane DC24. It's either that unit or a pair of DBX160A's.

any other suggestions?
thanks man!

What kind of compresion are you looking for?.. If you want dual band compresion (ie. high and low) you should go for the rane, it can compress the highs and lows at different settings.

p.s. to buy 2 106a's would mean dropping some SERIOUS cash...
