Fusion Bass Standards At Gigs

What songs in the “Fusion” genre do you guys consistently hear called at jam sessions, gigs, etc or when you go out to listen to music??
Im planning to go back and learn most of them and figured Talkbass would be a good place to start and get some advice.

Songs like:
Chameleon - Herbie Hancock
Stratus - Billy Cobham
Rio Funk - Lee Ritenour

just to start it off

I'm a Fusion buff.

Fusion jams?

In other words it doesn't happen.
Unless you go to an actual club set.
But I once suggested "Greetings Earthling" at a Michael Manring clinic.

Yeah, good luck with that, but I’ve heard “Chameleon” called at blues jams; if you consider material from Jeff Beck to be proper fusion, “Freeway Jam”(Blow By Blow), “Led Boots”, or “Blue Wind”(Wired)could be candidates(done them in just general jamming situations). Is there an actual venue, with audience, welcoming this sort of thing? Practically any jazz jam I’ve gone to(as a listener)stayed with standards/fake book material. Maybe selected Steely Dan tunes that come close?

Besides the ones already mentioned in this thread, I often come across Joe Zawinul's "Mercy Mercy Mercy" and George Benson's "Breezin'"

Way back when I was a freshman in college someone called The Brecker Brothers' "Some Skunk Funk" at a jam session. Not sure which scared me more: Having to sightread that tune, or the fact that the horn section did...and killed it!

Have you heard Panzerballets version of "Some Skunk Funk"?
