So I wonder what impact the SY300 will have on the New Impact. If the New Impact is mostly like the original ADI albeit with more user presets, then the SY300 might have the edge, but the SY300 is about three-quarter of a $Grand.

Certainly there will be sounds that either Impact does that can't be copped by the SY300 for those simply trying to cop the Chris Whutsizname tones. For those interested in synth sounds overall, what does the future hold for SY300 vs Impact.

My solution will be to just get both.

I got to play through a Deep Impact a couple days ago, broke the cherry so to speak.

I will get a Future Impact.

The SY300 has me interested in getting my BMS and DI off the board - and if good enough selling my DI to fund that SY-300... I'd pa a nice chunk of money for a synthy pedal that works as well as the DI and has an easy way to edit, both offline (usb) and 'online' (expression pedals/controllers).


I see a lot of people around me hauling a Voyager or subPHatty on stage and I will keep resisting that urge.
