Fuzz recommendation

If you do decide on a fuzz..

..Aguilar Fuzzistor and MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe are fantastic at adding just a bit of fizz on top. Both have clean blends which is very important to get what you're looking for. That way you can dial in as little as you want. I'll add the Fuzzistor has probably the biggest bottom end of any pedal I've ever used!

Funnily enough I really don't like many fuzzes on bass. It's just me, I just don't dig that fizzy / fuzzy / buzzy thing. I have a Way Huge Swollen Pickle which I really like but it behaves like a really high gain Overdrive. It's wild and dynamic, but it's got it's own "fuzz" voice. Most of my overdrives can do fuzz, but not that fizzy / buzzy stuff. Which is why I don't particularly like the MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe, it's just not my thang (although I appreciate it's following and that it hits the spot for a lot of people). I have an MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz and again it's cut from an Overdrive cloth. It's wild and with the trim pots moved to the outside of the casing...I have a setting which I can't get from any other pedal or nest of pedals. All my other dirt pedals are Overdrives of various different types and brands. All of which can be pushed into exstream "fuzz" land, but not that "fizzy / buzzy" stuff.
