Netflix it. While there is lots of cool footage, it's not exactly a great documentary. there's absolutely no central thesis and the continuity is all over the place.
Lots of cool stuff gets demoed, but I found this movie to be pretty revealing about the amount of voodoo, snake oil and amateur hackery in the boutique effect world. And not always because the director was trying to do that (and he does, regarding black goop, making zach vex look like a jerkazoid, etc) - for instance, he comes off as a death by audio fanboy. Let me tell you I would never pay those guys a cent, they would probably spend it all on airplane glue - and that's based on the footage in a film by a huge fan of theirs!
definitely a must-see for anybody who spends time lurking in the effects forum, though
