odd request, does anyone have a high quality image of DBA’s text on the fuzz war that says “fuzz war”? i’m trying to start a solo project and i want to have that as my logo

Could only provide the super fuzz war which is different... Are you sure you want to use someone else's artwork as yours?
Pretty simple intellectual property case if the issue were disputed given that OP has now confirmed in writing his very specific intention to copy the logo.

Maybe you could write to Death By Audio and explain that you want to rip off his artwork and would he maybe send you high-quality files so you could do that.
I can't imagine why he wouldn't be up for it.
Maybe email Disney while you're at it and explain you'd like to use a pic of their mouse too and see how they react.

If it's just the "Fuzz War" part and you're not trying to sell or pass it off as the actual DBA pedal, I don't think you'll be getting cease and desists or letters from attorneys lol. Maybe use the font or similar but give the pedal another similar name? Like "Fuzz Boar" or "Fuzz Wore"? Seems more creative than a straight name/logo copy...
I'll also gently mention that there's absolutely no copying, duplication, cloning, or outright stealing of designs or circuits in the guitar pedal industry. Everyone respects the original creations as untouchable and there is zero infringement on other's designs in any way, shape, or form....

There is (or was, haven't visited in years) a guitar shop in Portland called "Centaur Guitars"- originally they were called "Guitar Centaur", but Guitar Center threatened litigation

There was a '70s movie with a black guy who has a Scottish name (McDougall?) running a restaurant and fighting McD's lawyers, but I can't find it.
No it's not "Scotland, Pa" ( and no it's not "Coming to America" either)...
I'm sure that some random local musician, playing a local bar or brewery every once in a while, isn't going to run into any litigation over some niche company's logo. If they do then hooray....they must be doing something pretty exciting musically to get that attention. Change it out before you sign your 5 album contract though. Hell hath no fury like an online effects forum member
