Double Bass FWF Pickup

Anyone try out the FWF pickup yet? When I visited Paris it seemed that all the french bass players used it; with very good results. It blends an underwood style pickup with a mic that sits infront of the f-hole. Pretty expensive to order with the euro being what it is today. Anyone get a chance to compare it to the Realist? Like alot of players, I've been hooked on the Realist for a long time and get get frustrated with the boominess. When ever I try anything else, though, it doesn't sound like my bass anymore; and I get self consious with that electricy sounding bass tone. Always looking out for something better though...
