FZ-2 Fuzz replacement

I'm looking to replace a FZ-2 that my friend had loaned me on "long term" loan. I loved how that pedal sounded and although I know there are some used out on Ebay, I'm wondering if there is anything out there new that reproduces that same artificial/insane sound that comes from it. Thanks for any ideas.

earlier this week, i played the wattson and also the creepy fingers harakiri fuzz. the harakiri has a pot for tone control, as opposed to the more faithful wattson, which has a tone switch (which switches from "usable" to "unusable" :D). both are great pedals.

build your own clone sells a superfuzz kit called "leeds," if you want to make one yourself and save about $100.

If you like the FZ-2, your cheapest option might be to just buy another FZ-2 on the used market. You'd spend about 80 dollars. Except for the Guyatone TZ-2 pedal, every other pedal mentioned so far is more expensive than a used FZ-2, and you wouldn't know if it was going to do what you wanted.
