G.A.S. ATTACK!!!!!

Heith and the guys at RNR Vintage are good folks. They definitely know their stuff, and their tech (Ben) is the BEST in the business. I've had all of my instruments set up there, even a crappy 60's no-name guitar that needed a heat treatment on the neck. Ben got the action perfect and it's never needed an adjustment in almost 2 years.

Every guitar/bass in their shop is set up perfectly. If you're ever in Chicago, it's a great place to check out. Not a huge room, and not like 100 different basses or anything, maybe 25, (they have lots more guitars, and some cool amps) but there's always 2 or 3 basses I walk out with some serious GAS over hanging on the wall. They get the craziest stuff in sometimes.

back to Topic - Yeah, that Rick is pure SEX

God himself might play this bass.... if he plays bass.....

Hopefully, the following will answer that question:

BROTHER: "And Saint Atila raised the bass guitar up on high, saying, 'Oh, Lord, bless this thy bass guitar that with it thou mayest play thy bass notes to perfection, in thy mercy.' And the Lord did grin, and bassists did feast upon the Alembics, and Rickenbackers, and Laklands, and Rob Allens, and Fenders, and Gibsons, and Birdsongs, and --"

MAYNARD: Skip a bit, Brother.

BROTHER: "And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou tune thy Holy bass. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy bass notes towards thou audience, who being Holy in my sight, shall love it.'"

MAYNARD: Amen.

Is it just me, or does black on black with chrome hardware and a Badass II, Ric just look as sexy as anything you've ever seen?

God himself might play this bass.... if he plays bass.....

If only, if only.....

God would only play the 'white' version of this one! ;)

I don't know, Black would stand out well against His white robe. But you're probably right. :D

Just so we're clear, I mean absolutely no blaspheme or anything, I'm actually a Christian myself, but I do think it'd be pretty sweet if God did play bass. Of course, he invented music, so maybe in some time-space-paradox that only He could comprehend he does.... :eyebrow:

No offense or blashpeme taken! God has a sense of humor too, as long as it doesn't dishonor Him, it's all good!

Thanks man. Dude! Jackajesusfreak, I just noticed you've got two Rics! Mad props for that. I wish I could get the cash.....I've never played the 4004s, how do they stack up to 4001's?

More expensive, lighter in weight, more comfortable to play for me. Have a little more of a traditional versatile sound. Have a much less resale value than the 4003s. I've got my 4004L up for sale on Ebay, and if I don't get what I need to get out of it, then I'll be selling a brand new 4003 Mapleglo. I'd like to have one of each (4003 and 4004) but the 4004s just don't resell well. I'm trying to get what I paid for it but probably won't happen unless I can get an international bite.
