G-K MB115 for my first amp?

I own a Squier Jaguar and I don't have an amp currently. This is the only amp that the store near me has that is in my price range. How would it be for bedroom playing and playing with a band? Or should I save up for a few more months? If so, I need something lightweight, because I am really weak :bawl:

Thanks.

a strong 115 combo is my sug for any noob. it has a volume knob for home. its enough to play with acoustic drums and others. its big enough for gigs. plus this one's gk. i always also like to remind newer guys, too, that saving for better is always the smarter way than settling for what will get you by-- learn that early! i think most will agree, tho that this is a good first amp.

I think the MB115 is a great sounding combo. The first one I got had some serious shipping damage (not GK's fault), and the second one had some problems with the tweeter, so I gave up on them after that.

When it worked properly I think it sounded absolutely killer, and it was stupid light weight. A bit too bulky to carry more than short distances IMO.

I have the MB115 and think it's a great little amp. My only gig is about once a month at church (PA support and monitors on a good sized stage) but for me it works pretty darned good. Even though we're not blaring loud my concern at first was that the 200 watts might not be enough but in our particular situation it's plenty. Also handles the low B very well.
