Hi guys,
My ESP guitar died before I had a chance to get my G&L bass, so I made a little pit stop. I had a chance to snap a few photos of my USA ASAT special before it gets all scratched up... hope you don't mind...

The neck on my '83 SB 2 looks like it is 2 pieces of maple glued together - no stripe though. It does look like I got the lefty version of yours Chef. I just recorded a little bassline and sent it to one of guys I play with just so he could hear the tone - the highs are punchy and the lows rumble! Here's a pic of the neck:

Chrome thumbrest
Hipshot detuner
Switchable OMG mode (push/pull on treble pot)
Single coil inner (pickup more switch)
Single coil outer (push/pull on vol pot)

Inner & outer coils: Femto and I independently came up with this same design, using daveplaysbass's schematics as a starting point (though femto used a switch, and I used a push/pull pot)

OMG mode: Put in the capacitors as shown in the schematic in the above thread, but put a switch upstream of them, so I could control whether or not the pickups "saw" them. The capacitors ar 0.1 uF.
