Have any of you guys ever played...owned one? How do they compare to the American Fender jazz basses?

Build quality is very high on the JBs. Mine has a quartersawn neck--not sure if that's standard or not but I rarely see quartersawn necks on Fender American Standards.
Pickups sound excellent. A bit more lively and poppy than Fender but that's your discretion.
My alder JB is over 10 pounds, but my swamp ash JB is around 9.I was interested in these at one point, but they all appear to be around 10lbs (the alder ones).
