G&L Pickup help.

I was wondering if anyone could give me the dimensions on a G&L MFD 5 string pickup. I was considering swapping out one of these in my bass, but was wondering if it would be possible due to filling the existing hole in my bass. I checked the G&L site but there was no info for me there.

I measured 1 11/16 by 5 3/16 inches on my L2500 Tribute. The corners are rounded with about a 1/8 inch radius.

Nordstrand can make their pickups to fit directly into G&L pickup routing.

Have a look at their site and see if there is anything there that takes your fancy, and then drop them an e-mail matey!!

Are you sure it is 5 3/16" of an inch, that seems pretty huge 4 3/16" seems to make more sense, but then again I don't know which is why I am asking.

Obviously an ATK with a G&L pup installed would require some sound clips. And I don't mean it as a suggestion, but an actual requirement!

You are right, it is 4 3/16 (not 5). I was reading from the 1 inch mark to be more accurate and forgot to subtract.

Haha, it's alright. I was measuring and thinking that was way to big, so I figured it was a reading error (I do it all the time). Thanks a ton again.

Lug, if I get it put in there (not immediately, still in the planning stages) sound clips would be an easy price to pay for the help in this forum.
