Oh yeah, resale- especially the Leo era basses- has improved steadily. For example the L-1000 and L-2000. Just 7-8 years ago you could pick these up on ebay for $400-$500 easily (occassionaly less!), many times with the original Tolex cases. I picked and flipped a bunch of these over the years and you've got to work pretty hard to find one of the Leo era gems in that price range today even with the economy where it's at now.
Somebody is waking up to G&L's products. If you ever get a chance, check out their website www.glguitars.com and see which artists are usuing their products. There are a lot of big name studio and mainstream acts using the gear, for whatever reason G&L doesn't use them for marketing.

They finally replaced my trib l-2000 but that was after a lot of effort.
