FYI - P-Chef supplied the Serial. and this baby is a real blast from the past

1985 - which would put it in the first wave of 2nd gen sb1's

1.21GIGAWATTS!

I've used the G&L MFD P pickup in several homebrews.
It ain't "a true P flavor for true P fanatics," but it's a great, great pickup.

I am so going to be a whore with pictures about this bass!

In fact I may get it plek'ed locally.

I'm really looking for a take no prisoner's type P-bass SPECIFICALLY to be played live. I play loud - and I play with "character"

I've wanted a G&L for a long long time - even when I played guitar.

it's just that I truly believe in waiting for a deal.


I hope P-Chef gets his car in order - because I can feel the pain since he had to let it go immediately. I've already offered him dibs on my P-bass and jag bass if he wants to buy again - and he's got dibs if the G&L for some strange reason doesn't work out.
