Double Bass g string buzz

I have a bridge that needs to be replaced cause it was cut for guts and I am using metal strings now (the nut too) I think the buzz is from the deep g string groove that was cut...
But I have a recording session and I really need a temporary fix. Any Ideas?

Assuming the buzz is from the fingerboard, try to put on the thickest string you can (ie an Oliv). Good luck
