Double Bass Galli

Galli Overtures are great hybrids although they have been created to be their orchestra set. They bow very well and IMO they have more beautiful arco sound than the BSN 900´s as you can hear on Nico´s video. They also have a nice pizz sound as you can hear on Herve´s and Nico´s videos. Mybe a bit less sustain than BSN 900´s which is +1 for me. The gauge and feel is quite like the EP weichs with flat winding but the sound is brighter. Medium tension was too much for my bass so I need to try the lights (that´s what Herve is playing on his video). Yeah, a good quality altenative for hybrid use!
On the Galli homepage, the ouvertures are not listed as lights or medium. Only with steel or synthetic core. Both with medium tension. Is the synhetic version the lights version You refer to?

Hi, Galli Overtures always have a synthetic core with metal (chrome) winding - like Evah Pirazzis. You can specify which gauge you want when you order. This is what Gallistrings answered when I asked about the light version:
Dear Sir
Thank you for your email and your interest in our strings.
All our double bass strings can be ordered in both tensions: light or medium.
You can order them and ask the tension you prefer. We are sorry if in our web site it has not been clearly specified. We will try to add this additional info at soon.

Thanks for Your reply. This is What You see on their homempage:

Ouverture synthetic core:

There is absolutely no info about low/medium tension about the ouverture strings. However, under the 900 series (900, 910, 920, 930) it is possible to choose between light and medium.
The 930 string is actually a steel rope core string.

Take a look at this video for information.

I had a bad customer service experience with Galli. FWIW the set that I (finally after several months) got was okay but nothing special. If anyone cares these days I'm using Spiro Weich E, Perpetual A and D, and Evah Weich G.

Yes Daniel, thanks, you are right of course! I´ve seen Nico´s video which is great for comparing the sets. Maybe I had forgotten the steel core Ouvertures because I don´t like their sound :) I much prefer the synthetic core sound of Ouvertures and as a light version which is available if you ask for them when ordering.

Do you know the tension and diameters of the light set?
