Gallien 800RB question

Yup....one four ohm cab. That's why most folks get an amp with headroom (more watts than you can imagine needing) and an 8 ohm cab that can handle the wattage of the amp into an 8 ohm load (the wattage is rated lower into an 8 ohm'er). Then as you grow to need more sound power, you add a second 8 ohm cab, use the full amp and more a lot more air.

For example, I have a GK 700RB-II which is 480W but into 4 ohms. It's rated at 320W into an 8 ohm load. I have a GK Neo 212-II which I think is rated 500W so niely conservative vs 320. If I had a second 212, I could probably plow snow on my street.:D

One of the outputs on the GK 800RB is only fiftey watts. It is intended to push hi-end frequencies in a bi-amped situation. The 800 RB has a crossover so depending on where you set it,everything above goes to the "hi-out",and everything below goes to the "lo-out".I used to love mine, and it is the original GK tone monster!!! Enjoy!
