I bought a used GK 1001RB amp off Craigslist....along with a tuner and SKB case. I don't really need a new amp head but the price was right and I am curious about GK amps.

My first impression is :hyper:

Wow! This amp sounds great and is freak'n loud. I have had powerful amps in the past whose ratings were a joke.:bawl:

I am currently running my amp through a cheap speaker cabinet but am eager to run the amp full throttle into the SWR cabinet I have downstairs.

I got curious about this amp because Norm Stockton. He is a big endorser of GK amps.:D

I play a GK 1001RB thru a SWR 4x10 4ohm cab. Awesome sound and more than ample for any club situation.
I also have a GK 2001RB that I play thru a SWR 6x10 cab. Incredible tone! When I play outdoors, I use both rigs, one on each side of the drummer.
I also have 3 GK T-shirts. Enough said!

Yes, I know this is an old thread. But, I play a P Elite II through my 1001 RB-II pushing an SWR Workinman's Tower (8x10). The sound is PHOEMONINAL, and it will makes your bones vibrate! I can get any sound out of that rig.
