Yeah, that is one of the things that intrigues me about the MB212. I do have a SUV that can easily move the 410.

I've gigged with an MB212II for several years, it's definitely a great all around box, powerful and super portable. I've also discovered it takes to a hp/lp filter really well, it really comes alive and sounds like a new or upgraded cab.
That's great to hear because I have a Broughton "always on" arriving this week.
I'm curious to figure out how use it.
The simplest explanation is: turn the knob until you start hearing it cuts lows, then back up a tiny bit.
I've found it handy to cut the lows going into the amp, then boost lows AT the amp.
The net effect (of thinning your overall sound, then adding lows back) is that your low strings sound fat but tight - and your skinny strings sound thicker.
So I use a Plex into either an MBP115 or the Aux In on a MB212ii, bypassing the preamp. You'd put the HPF before the Plex?
as great as the MB212-ii is...I find that in some rooms/acoustically it can be a bit "boxy". With my Broughton hp/lp filter, the mids really jump out and its a lot more punchy and tight sounding.

The chain out is a line-level signal usable only to drive other GK powered cabinets.
The MB212 can be used with the MBP15, but neither can drive a Neo IV speaker cab.
And as understand it those powered cabs are discontinued. Kinda bummed about that personally - but I managed to find the MBP 115 and I'm hunting for a MBP 212.
I love the idea of showing up with plex and a cab.Along with the MB212, that would be a TON of modularity
On the website it says the MBP115 is discontinued, but not the MBP112 or the MBP212. ...but they seem to have disappeared from the big websites. bummer
A Sweetwater rep told me a GK rep told him all the MBP cabs are discontinued.
Someone may have their facts wrong, but I asked and that's what the SW guy said.
I'm five years late to the powered cab thing - I wonder why it didn't really catch on.
I can't imagine then discontinuing powered enclosures.. If that's what's happened.
It's the logical step if you have a GK combo without an external speaker output and you want to increase SPL. Let alone the preamp/IEM applications.

We have not discontinued them, but we have not been able to get all the parts required. We will make them again early next year.

Guess I'm officially in the club now after two decades as a Hartke guy - admittedly I still think I like the tone of my old Hartke rig a little better, but given that my MB500 / Neo 410 set me back less than $500 for the pair, weighs about 75% less, and is absolutely earth-shatteringly loud I can deal 
Really interesting EQ on the MB500, not incredibly intuitive for me but I'm sure I'll figure it out - absolute beast of an amp.
