Yeah, I thought about that one too and may still get the MB115. Great amp, for sure. I really want that 2lb head to throw in my gig bag though. :-(

Gallien Krueger MB112 question

I'm still considering this amp, but lack of master volume control bums me out. It wouldn't present that much of an issue when playing at higher volumes, but might make it difficult to get a good tone at lower volume at-home use.
The release date was towards the end of June last time I checked.
I ended up swapping my order to the MB115 and have been using it for a couple months now and it's a great, loud, clean sounding little amp. I use mine primarily for upright bass at non-crazy loud volumes.
This 15 is not muddy sounding at all, it's very punchy and mid-present compared to the old school 15s I was accustomed to. I like it.

I'd really like to see a review on the 12 as well. I am only going to play small bars, and after hearing the output from the 15, I think the 12 at 200 watts would probably more than suffice.

And it will be another year before we see it hear in Australia, like the 212 and 115 are not here yet and may or may not be in the next shipment. I'm totally P* off about the time I have wasted, all up 3 days, well all the spare time I had to me in 3 days listening to amp because I want a decent practice/bedroom amp. Yes I have been spoilt because all brands sound like garbage to me, I even said to a sales person that the so and so amp is broken and he said no they just are like that, so I said why bother making such crap. I guess I should not mention brands but all of them out there are just crap with their so called 15w and 30w and so on, the cubes just suck and so do the tiny orange things and marshall too, go home. This MB112 looks like it could be the first decent practice amp ever created, I would put my money down on one sight unseen and heard, if I could get my hands on one, but no, can't even make an order or get a date. There is only one other practice amp I would buy and guess I should not mention the name, but that too is in a vapourware state. Which will I choose, the first one available. I'd probably get both in the end, one in the bedroom and one in the living area, why carry when you can buy.
Has the ship date moved to October? MF appears to have pushed it out again. Have any of these shipped yet??
