Can this combo handle an upright for rockabilly? I have been using a Mesa walkabout and I need more volume. Anybody have any experience with this combo?

Double Bass Gallien-Krueger MB410-I 4x10 500W Combo

I may not be the best one to answer as I don't have that specific amp or play DB or rockabilly, but I'm not sure how many answers you'll get so I figured I'd chime in.
I do have the GK MB212-ii, which to my knowledge has the same amp as the MB410-ii. I can tell you that the amp gets LOUD. At 90% of my gigs that I use it on I don't need to turn it up over 11-o-clock as it starts to be too loud for the stage (and that's with gain and boost on moderate levels). I always have PA support though, so I don't need to crank it loud for the audience. I imagine that the 410 version is just as loud if not a bit louder.
I also have a GK CX410 cab which is rated at 800 watts at 4ohms, and it can handle a ton of power from my MB800 without getting distorted or anything.
I think you'd be fine with the 410 (or even the 212 if you wanted to save some $$). The great thing about the MB combos is that you can pair them with the powered MBP extension cabs, so you could essentially have a 810 1000 watt stack, if desired.
I have this combo. I’ve never used a Walkabout, but the GK is very loud. Our guitar player uses a full stack Marshall and the drummer has a big drum kit. I get asked to turn down if I put the volume over 11-o-clock.
