I've been playing GK for over 30 years. Sold my 800rb (regrets ) because of a screamin' deal on a Fusion 550 (no regrets! ) My buddy has a 1001rb that he LOVES.

The only thing with that 412 is it might be overkill.

Resale value on one in good condition should be high. I would grab it for the right price.

Snatch that up, and buy wheels for the speaker cab!

I think it has wheels and a top-handle for tilt-roll.

GK is great. Been using GK exclusively for 3 years now. You shouldn't have any problems but if you do their customer service is great also.

I have used the same RB 700 for around 8 years, still working with no issues.
Two cab combo's I use are (2) 210 cabs, and for bigger venues, Avatar 410 stacked on a Avatar SB153.
It pushes both rigs great.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1001rb with a 4x12 GK cab for extremely cheap it is in almost new condition ...i am new to GK stuff so any opinions from you pros out there, I'm somewhat of a beginner i do know about the head but not sure about the 12s for bass anyone use 12s ? ....thanks

Get it..I have used the MB210 combo for 5 years now and no issues. I don't even need another cab for live stuff..And they are super light..Good luck!

Fully agree. 12 inch drivers (I know, TB, ...generalizing...) sound really good with bass. Great balance of depth and transients.

Buy it, sell the 4x12 and buy a 2x12 or 2 1x12's.
I don't play GK but did for years. I still own my mid 80's 400 RB and will never sell it. It has never let me down and is a great back up amp. I owned a Fusion 550 for a few years - great sound, but got tired of moving it in a rack and my 4x10. Go get it.

Makes repainting your house easier!! go for it! I have the 1001rb2 and use a GK 4x10 Neo and put an aguilar 2x12 underneath.. Look out lol!!

RB1001 is a serious pro-level amp! Always best to try before you buy to make sure you like the amps unique voicing...many do. The 412 cab is pretty rare...you sure it's not a 410? GK has made several 410s and not all of them are great. The 410RBH was designed to work with the RB series amp's biamp capability. It is a great sounding and robust cab, but extremely heavy at 96lbs.

Hilarious...for some reason when someone mentions a Gallien Krueger 412 I always think of the old school cab that was built sort of like a guitar cab. These were so rare that I can't even find an image anymore.

It just struck me that the OP is probably talking about the Neo 412 .

for the Neo 412...96lbs but a real beast and a great match for the RB1001.
