Gallien Krueger

I was messing around this morning and went to music 123. I had previously been looking at an Ampeg BA115, but on Music123 there was a Gallien Krueger 115SBX. Since the Ampeg is only 100W, the Gallien is 200W. Plus it is about $50 cheaper than the Ampeg.
Are these good quality amps, or is the Ampeg the way to go?

Both are nice, but sound a bit different. Try to find one locally to try out first to see which you prefer.

The 115SBX is a speaker cabinet only. The GK equivilent to the BA115 is the Backline 115. Both are the same list price. The BA115 is 100 watts while the Backline is 125 watts. You'll probably need to play through them to decide which you like better.
