Have owned the GWB35 for some time and have loved it. Taking a look at the new GWB205 and not seeing a awful lot of difference for it almost twice as much. Any thoughts?

Old thread but I thought I'd answer it because I recently got the 205. I think it sounds more like Gary's 1005 than the 35 does. Brighter, more rich and even sounding. It has the same pickup and preamp as the one on Gary's own bass, which is part of the price as it is custom made for this line of basses. Ebony fingerboard is also more expensive.
