GB Streamliner 900 LED issue - in germany!

Hello,

I always hear about the outstanding customer service by Genz Benz,
but of course in the U.S.

I have the GB Streamliner 900 since autumn last year, working well without any issue, now today the blue LEDs stopped working.

I can go to the shop and let the amp send in / repair, but how many weeks will I have to wait until it is sent to the USA and get it repaired, then send it back?

If it is only to solder new LEDs there (I think three, in a row?), is there may be a easy way to get the LEDs from Genz Benz and change them by myself?
I think I am able to do this with the needed care...

Maybe agedhorse could give some advice here

Thanks in advance

Volker

E-mail Jeff at the factory (jeff.genzler (at) kmcmusic.com) and he will get you in contact with the folks in Gemany who can get you fixed up. No worries.

Hello,

thanks a lot, agedhorse!
Good to know that a customer overseas is not left alone.
I will tell my friends ;-))

I called the shop where I bought the amp, they asked me to call tomorrow again because the guy who can decide whether they can give me a spare part for the repair time was off duty.

If they fix it and give me a spare partfor the time its fine, if they don´t want to do this, I will send a mail to Jeff.

I do not want to cause more trouble than needed, but I need the amp for daily use...

Thanks again and best regards,

Volker

By the way, also on the last gig I was asked four times about that great sounding little amp...

hi,

Genz Benz is on the way for repair.
Service is done by Fender in Germany.

I got a TC RH 450 as spare part for the repair time,
which was heavily discussed in this forum.

Really a good and versatile amp,
but my streamliner is better for me!

They told me it would take about 3 weeks for repair.

We will see

Volker

Hi,

my Genz is repaired. Was no problem at all. The Genz Benz service in Germany is done by Fender.

My STL is working as new, repaired quite fast, spare amp for that time given by session music Frankfurt, good shop.

I had the chance to compare the TC RH 450 with the band, band said: get your GB back as fast as possible..

The TC is not a bad amp, but for us not even close to the Genz!

Hope the Genz will now work for years..

Thanks,
Volker
