Yeah, Geddy is too cool to use normal bass gear. The left side lets him dial the midrange in to get just the right amount of "honk" in his tone and the popcorn side gets that warm, dry top end with buttery lows.
He has also been known to use chicken roasters in the past and before that, clothes dryers.
Not to mention the Kelvinator fridge (for cool tones?) and the vending machine (lots of tonal variety)...
Nice rig but I'll wait for a class D micro version to come out before i get one.
