Well, I got my copy back from the printer. Your thoughts?

The last pic is concerning. Not sure if its the angle that is giving it so much booty?

This print has the hips of the bas like 1/2" wider on both sides.

Okay, take 352.
This was the image the printing company made for me. I think I'm getting closer, but the body still seems too narrow. This time I tried to pose the same way as Gene to give better size perspective.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Looking at 73.12.26 above, I think you've basically got it. It looks like the edges had a slight round-over and that sharp point on the horns are rounded over and more Gibosn like (less Punisher-like)

Yes I am!

I'm wondering if I took some white out and made faux binding on my template, if it would look wider?

I may contact the print shop again to see if they can widen the sides by a 1/2" on each side.

I laid the new template over my Punisher. The Punisher body peaks out a bit from my template.

Why not? It's best to be sure of all the possibilities before you cut. Really, the only limitation you have to worry about is the width of your wood.

When you are holding the mock-up in front of you, it looks to be about the right size. When it is laying flat on the counter, the body seems too small. It probably wouldn't hurt to make the sides a little wider. Might help to counter any neck-dive too.

If you are really impatient, you can just put dots 1/2" off the outside line...all the way around, and connect the dots..on another piece of paper of course. That will give you an idea if you want to bother getting it scaled up some.

I'm afraid if they scale up the sides, that the distance from the bridge to the end of the bass will increase.
