Gene googles himself, and he knows about TB...plus this is just a cool build to do...I'm sure that even if he didn't stumble across it himself, someone has pointed it out to him by now...You have almost 53,000 views, my man...that's too many views for me to believe Gene isn't aware...

How do you guys normally record tracks?

I go through the DI on my amp into a cheap 4 channel mixer into a Focusrite Scarlet 2I2 audio interface. I use Audacity software.

I dont do much recording on my computer. I use this hardware mostly for listening to music. The outputs of the Focusrite go back into the mixer which feeds a pair of powered studio monitors and a sub.

Do I need a specific program in my computer?

On windows 7, vista and 8 there is a 'record' program by default.

Simply plug your bass into the mic-input of your pc using a aux-aux cable and an aux-instrument converter plug.

There might be a slight lag. If so, make sure you can only hear yourself on your bass while recording, not the 'real time' sound.
