General Advice Needed

Hi there I'm new to this forum, I joined because I have some questions that I haven't been able to find out by myself.

First of all, I've been playing bass for 3 years, my bass has medium sized frets but the model I'm buying has 24 jumbo frets.. I haven't had the chance to try any jumbo fret bass because I'm left handed so none of them are available. My question is, is it really a big change? I mean is the difference in the fret size going to affect my skills so far?

i highly highly doubt it, totally honestly i may get flamed, idk.
but i can't even tell which of my basses have jumbo frets and
which don't..
but all in all it's just another bass, you know how to play it.
if it is somehow a huge deal it won't take more than a day
at most to adjust to something like that.

In terms of feel, the change is a subtle one, but it's a change nonetheless. It's easier to get a "full" sound with jumbo frets even if your finger slips a bit, but I do find the smaller frets much more comfortable.

Like said above, the change is minimal. It's actually better that you're less experienced because you would perceive a bigger difference if you were playing one size for much longer.
Let's say you were playing medium fretted basses for 20 years and suddenly switched over...much bigger difference because you were used to one thing for so long.

Shouldn't be a problem getting used to it rather quickly.

I'd think that even if you'd been playing for a much longer period of time, going from medium frets to jumbos would be a minor adjustment at most. Now, if it were moving from Mandolin frets Leland Sklar-style to jumbos that would be an issue, but we're talking about fractions of an inch - you might notice it, but I'd be surprised if it hampered your playing in any way.
