Recently joined a band that billed itself as a folk band but the sound has changed quite a bit with the addition of a rock bassist and a rock drummer. Having trouble figuring out what we are. Here are some links to videos of our last show.

Genre identity crisis. What are we?

I'd call you folk rock, kind of reminiscent of a little less folk Emmylou Harris/The Band collab. Depends on what else you have on tap, of course.
More folk than rock - so I'd posit indie folk or maybe alt-folk - it depends what else is in the catalogue. "Burn it to the Ground" sounds like you're in the same galaxy as Fleet Foxes, if not in the immediate neighbourhood.
We have a few songs that are more bluesy, as well as some harder stuff, these are just the only videos the photographer posted for us so far.
i'd call your ensemble 'great entertainment' and leave it that! nice job!

Haha, that would be me. If I had a case for it i would have been using my explorer too.
Does it matter what you call it? Genres are just artificial categories -- convenient sometimes, but other times they just confuse things, or get in the way.
Well it helps with marketing. People like to know what they're buying tickets for if they've never heard you before.
A few more videos have been uploaded from the show. Shows the less folky stuff we do.
He, he, he - the fun in trying to cubbyhole music into specific genres. You're band would sound good playing CCR, or old blues tunes, or Texas Swing and it could work with the tunes you've included here. Americana would be my description and that includes a whole lot of different stuff. So, you guys should develop your own sound concept and run with it.
Heck 30 years ago I was in a band that did a lot of British Isles music (Irish, Scottish, Northumberland) and we did "Under the Boardwalk" by the Drifters, that traditional Irish group from the next county west of Cork (New York)
