Genz Benz bass amplifiers

Does anyone know whether or not the Genz Benz focus series bass cabinets are compatible with a contour series combo amp?

Depends on what's loaded in the Contour combo. So long as adding a cab doesn't dip below the amps minimum impedance, you're fine. Best to get an ext cab that closely matches what's in the combo, ie: 1x12 combo/1x12 ext cab, or 2x10 combo/ 2x10 ext cab, etc.

Yes, most cabinets in the focus line and all contour combos are 8 ohms.

So as long as it's 8 ohms, & not above, it should be cool?

Total load below 4 ohms is not good. That would be 2 x 8 ohm cabinets in parallel.

If using 2 cabinets, each one should be 8 ohms or GREATER (not less).
