Genz Benz ShuttleMax 12.0 rack mounted?

Has anyone rack mounted their 12.0 head that has any pictures? I have been looking at a Gator brand rack because they are light. I don't want to put a 7lb head in a 25lb rack case. My only reason is to have better protection for the head on stage! If I could anchor it to my 212T NEOX I wouldn't be be interested in a rack case. I don't want to drill holes in the top of my cabinet. I'm open to all suggestions, bungy cords look sorta cheap.

you can anchor it to your cab using some industrial velcro...can be purchased from any hardware store. Or, you can do what I do:

Put your instrument cable through and around the Neox edge-lift handle before you plug it into the amp. You can do the same thing with your speaker cable if it is long enough.

I do this with any amplifier....so when some band member (and they will) trips on my cable, it doesn't stress the input jack of the amplifier. I even do it with my heavy tube amps.

G-B sells amp saddles for the SM12. I didn't want to screw mine into the cab. Instead I drilled two holes into the saddle that lined up with the two innermost screws in the top handles of the cab, removed the screws from the handles, and used them to secure the mount to the cab with the original screw holes...

Didn't have to make any holes in the cab, and the saddle's been holding tighter than a midget's fist since April.

That's a good solution. Personally I wouldn't hesitate to drill a couple of holes for #10 screws into a cab I planned to keep around, but if you don't wanna, this works.

Or just buy black gaffer's tape, set the head on the cab, then run a strip of gaffer's tape across the head and down both sides of the cab. :D

The idea with the cords will work but, I like this idea that Edword has! I might be able to expand on that. I want to be able to easily remove it after a gig and use my cabinet cover.
How does the head attach to the mount?

Hasbeen can I buy one of these direct or do I have to go through my dealer. He is 100 mile away?

there are large, aluminum "thumb wheels" that go into the side of the saddle. If you look at your amp, you'll see one corresponding hole on each side panel of the amp.

Yes...we'll sell accessories direct. ,,,just call the shop at 480.941.0705
