I guess the question could be posed, either way. Is there an inherent benefit gained from using metal milk crates or do milk crates in general work with metal (the genre) music? Maybe a third question would be, do metal milk crates work better than plastic milk crates for metal. Do blue milk crates work better for blues? Frankly, it may be time for a subcommittee to investigate this.
There was a time, back in my earlier days, when I had an obscene amount of money tied up in stands for my "audiophile" equipment. To my ears and eyes, my system sounded and looked amazing. Anyway, it seems like a design as elegant as the BA12-3SLT deserves a stand commensurate with its beauty.
I guess I'll just have to break out my tool chest and start building something.

I’m going to say that the color of the crate has only a psychological effect however that said if it can alter someone’s perception then who is to say it doesn’t make a difference.
However the material itself could have an actual measurable effect as you then get into transferable energy differences in materials and crap like that.
This is why we will need double blind tests to accurately determine the impact color has on tone. Only after we've accurately chronicled those finds should we embark on determining the impact of the actual material on tone. We can't rush the findings.

I never pulled the trigger on them as I just use a little triangle shaped thingie to slant the speakers back a bit. But now that I'm going to the 15 and 210SLT, I guess I won't need that anymore. But I am interested in the stands now that I may just use one cabinet more often.

I can accommodate that request. Loring's last gig was down in my neck of the woods. Took advantage to grab a beer catch him in action.
That stage is a bit bouncy. The stand seemed rock solid from what I saw.
I own the RS-7000 and have used it with the 12-3 (not-slt). I agree that the arms are a bit short to support that cab. It seems possible for it to fall forward, although that didn’t happen. (I might have secured it with a bungee cord.)
Actually with 2 cabs, it might be a bit better because that would probably push the center-of-gravity back a bit.
I have experimented with folding the back arms down, which allows the cab to sit back a bit where it is better centered over the legs. Haven’t tried that at a gig, and not sure if I would.
Parallel inputs? Can I hook up an Ampeg 15" 8 ohms cab to my 12-3 SLT? I have a MG800. My old SWR 2X10 cab had an input and output.
I suspect, except for the additional tilt back from the stand, the second cabinet just sits on top (with no back support from the stand) just like it would if the the stack was sitting on the floor or milk crates.
Seems like a winner for two cabinets! Cool!

Calling it an input on the back of the cab when it can output to another cab is confusing.
There are earlier posts about this and from what I recall the SpeakOn and 1/4" are wired the same, so any one can be used an input or an output. And if I am wrong, someone or three will be along to clear this up, again.
